The Bahamas - Part II
Arriving in Nassau
Most of the girls are happy to be here.
Main Enrance to Nassau Harbour just behind breakwater.
This is the mega resort ATLANTIS where we berthed for one day. It is the only thing you can see in the distance in the two photos above. We had a great time, it has the worlds largest outdoor aquarium and water slides through a shark tank!
There were huge Manta Ray's and many other types of sea life. We would remark later that it's probably the best view of fish we had.
A black tipped reef shark. They would actually swim right over top of you and come over for a look. The kids looked especially tasty.
The fish tunnel with two snacks and a meal for the shark above.

Sunset at Atlantis. The place was actually stunning with multiple pools, wave pools, beaches, more restaurants you can shake a stick at and all for just $4.00 US. (That's per foot per night!) But, still cheaper than admission.
After our one day at Atlantis we moved to a cruising marina and met KIDS! The pint sized members of 'Megaptore'. Everyone had a lot of fun running up and down the docks and visiting. With two cats our kids were in heaven.
Nassau from the hill. Atlantis in the background. There were two huge bridges over and back from Paradise Island.
Walking along a Nassau Street.  We took the bus everywhere like the locals. The bonus was the latest Reggae at 100 decibals in every bus. Ya Mon.
There were many interesting things in the local markets. Of course we were just tourists so we really couldn't get the local vibe, Oh, well. Later we would be better off in the Exumas.
On the way to Allens Cay. Only 40 or so miles from Nassau, it was another world away
At anchor in Allens Cay. Simply put this was one of the funnest places we stayed. And the water really is that blue.
Visiting the native Iguanas on Allens Cay. These are protected although feeding them is OK. They're vegetarian although they will nip your finger because they don't see that well.
The girls thought they were very cute.
A typical dinner scene on the boat thanks to the fabulous and very pretty French chef.
In Allens Cay we experienced 3 days of 30-35 knot winds. This was the approaching front. We had three big anchors down and were fine.
In here we'll put our missing Warerick Wells Marine Park pictures, later. This was perhaps the most amazing place we went. A total No-take zone 100 miles by 50 miles where the marine life is at it was when established in 1958.
Next we went to Staniel Cay where James Bonds famous Thunderball Caves are.
Rolleville. We met a fellow who races these boats.
Collecting cocnuts in Rolleville.
Helping mummy cook in the galley.
Elvis and Jennifer doing homework.
Watching Toy Story on DVD.
We had Cara and the rest of the crew of Essentia over for dinner.
Kelly enjoying the fish and lobster (that they caught).

The boys of Essentia, Mark and Jeff with their girl Jennifer.
Michelle and Steve came to visit us from    the Yukon. So. no more moaning about your trip, these two went through hecck to get here.
Next, Georgetown and Stocking Island .
