In 1995, the explosion burried the capital, Plymouth, under the ashes. Two stories houses became one story houses and one story houses became well...check for yourself! (That's venting ash not clouds on the volcano) (The pyroclastic flow is in the foreground)

A nice dip in our private "pool" makes the hike in the heat worth it!
On April 22, we left Montserrat and headed south to Guadeloupe. We first anchored in Deshaies close to a bakery which opened every morning at 6.30 am!

Greg and Claude raced unofficially to Antigua from Guadeloupe with the rest of the fleet...some boats were a mere 150 feet long...no they didn't win the race!!!
